Explore Your Surroundings - Take Your Time
Whether you're looking to do specific things within a given scene, or try to get a certain outcome to events in the story, you can do so much easier by taking your time to look around you. In most sections of the game, you aren't timed when you are allowed to move around and interact with objects and other characters. Unless you're told through the dialogue or shown on the game's hud, you're free to look around as you please.
By hitting R2 on the controller, you're able to use your Android vision to look for key points of interest, items and people you can interact with, and much more. This is open to you no matter which character you are controlling or what part of the story you are currently in.
Make Critical Decisions - Don't Panic
Detroit: Become Human is a game that gives you many choices, but also many consequences to the choices you make. At various points of the story, you'll have to decide between actions that can greatly affect the progress and outcome of the story. Once made, these decisions can't be reversed in the current playthrough, you'll have to replay the chapter again to get a different outcome.
These types of moments in the story could involve choosing to help a character with their problem, saying the right thing during a conversation, or even deciding whether someone lives or dies by your hand. No matter what the circumstance, don't panic when you feel like you've made the wrong choice. What's right or wrong is dependant on how you play and decide where the story will go.

Part of the fun playing Quantic Dream games like Detroit: Become Human is seeing how events play out from your decisions. You can always restart the chapter and try again, or contiune onward to see how things conclude by the end of the story. But you'll have to make tough choices throughout and witness their consequences, even if that means something terrible happening on screen.
Replay Chapters - Multiple Outcomes
Just because you finish a chapter the first time, that doesn't mean you're completly done with it. While you do progress the story, you'll see a percentage of completion at the results screen, showing how much of that chapter you've seen through. To get 100% completion on a chapter, you'll need to replay it a few times and make alternate decisions than your previous playthrough.
You can use the Chapter Select in the main menu to replay any chapter you've already finished at least once. It's recommended that you play through the story without worrying about this at first, but afterwards you'll be able to choose any chapter you want to revisit.
Read the Magazines - Collect Them for Later
As you play each chapter, there will be various magazines you can find scattered throughout the city of Detroit. You'll sometimes find them in random places indoors, or even on a nearby bench of sidewalk on the ground. These give additional backstory to the world of Detroit: Become Human in the form of news articles and magazine pieces.
